Fruits of the forest made man thrive,
Giving him in abundance, keeping him alive,
Taking never giving and greed for more,
Ripping Mother Nature of Her glory of yore,
What’s left of Her, still she gives,
Her most loved child, she readily forgives,
It’s time to wake up and see her plight,
For Her and for us, it’s important to set things right,
Let’s do our part to clear the grime,
From taking to giving, one at a time,
Green fingers, let’s root a tree,
Bind with green, a bed of scree,
Green fingers that sow a seed…
Green fingers, they are great indeed!

One step at a time,
this initiative from CGG Services Singapore (my husband Gowrish’s employer) is an eye-opener and an inspiration for it’s employees to do their little part in restoring the glory of Mother Nature. Gowrish was part of ‘Plant a Tree & Earth Day 2014’, the program to plant saplings at the McRitchie Reservoir and create awareness on Reduce-Reuse within the company. From a corporate perspective, this is a very ‘fruitful’ event for team building and bonding while doing something for Mother Nature.
By planting more trees, we give not only to the Nature but to ourselves and our future generation.
What’s a better gift to our families than the world having cleaner air and a healthier environment? Let’s do our part, today!
The best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago, the second best is now! (Anonymous)
