Hark, my hideous tale of self absorbance…

Today I learn  a lesson of great substance,

That a fool no worser than one of ignorance…

I am shattered, misled by my own arrogance!!!

Like a tiny prick on a balloon filled with air,

My ego deflated, leaving me bare…

Lost in daydream, engrossed in my own likes,

Oblivious to the feelings of others, until thunder strikes!

Erasing the glories of the past with ease…

Drowning  you in tears, leaving no trace of peace…

One unscrupulous act, a second of self indulgence,

One careless word, a moment of vicious coincidence…

Do unto others, not what you want to do…

But only what they want from you!!!
